About the event
This in-depth 6 week Mindfulness for Menopause Course is run on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm and focuses on the transformative practices of meditation, deep relaxation and everyday mindfulness. These proven techniques will be your pillars of support, helping you through the challenges that this transitional phase of life, perimenopause and menopause, can present.
Whether you're new to mindfulness or have years of experience, I will guide you through key practices and techniques in a safe space for women to connect, reflect, learn and feel empowered through mindfulness, centred around using the breath, deep relaxation, bringing kindness to the body and cultivating self-compassion.
Mindfulness for Menopause 6 Week Course
Week 1: Introduction to Mindfulness for Menopause
• Introduction to mindfulness and how it can help ease menopause symptoms
• Understanding the physical and emotional changes of menopause
• Waking up from Automatic Pilot.
Week 2: Mindfulness & Mind-Body Awareness
• Exploring the mind-body connection
• Techniques for stress management to lower cortisol and worry reduction.
Week 3: Mindful Movement & Emotional Regulation
• Gentle mindful movements
• Understanding our emotions and thoughts
• Developing practices for responding, not reacting and relationships.
Week 4: Exploring difficulties, Thoughts & Feelings
• Deeper exploration of thoughts & feelings
• Dealing with difficulties techniques
• Resistance vs Acceptance and Letting Be.
Week 5: Empowering Self-Care, Compassion & Emotional Balance
• Advanced exploration of self-care strategies for menopause
• Deepening emotional balance techniques
• Integrating mindfulness practices into everyday life.
Week 6: Deep Relaxation and Compassion
• Focusing on body awareness and its impact on menopausal symptoms.
• Self-love and Self-compassion for our mind, body and spirit
• Deep relaxation techniques to aid and improve sleep
Optional: Silent Retreat
• A special online half-day silent retreat 13th July - optional but warmly advised
• Activities include meditation, mindful movement and personal reflection
• An opportunity to consolidate your learning from the course.
